I'm a little confused on Taylor Series... when do we use them? what are they? ahhh
ReplyDeleteWe have not covered Taylor Series yet. They are a series of functions, as opposed to a series of numbers.
DeleteIs geometric the only series that we can find what number the series converges to? (a/(1- r))

Also telescoping series. Aside from those two, NO other series can be computed analytically. Instead, numerical approximations are used.
DeleteFor a telescoping series, if the numerator is 3 would you use 3 and -3 as the numerator when writing out the terms or would you use 1 and -1?
ReplyDeleteThink about how the terms of the series are formed.
